By having good depth you are bringing your sigs to the next level. When you first try to create depth you might find it to be difficult, but after a while it will become easier. Think of signatures as a real picture. Some objects are further away and some are up close.

In this picture, the focal point of is the middle pon. It’s very close to the person viewing this image. As you can see there are other pons behind this one. As they move further back in the picture they become smaller and blurred.
You want to create the same effect as this in your sigs. Depth has to be planned and thought about before you start your sig. Resize objects in your background to start. Use the blur tool later on to create the far away effect.

A is further away then B.
The c4d in B is above the blured background.
C is closer than D.

Another effective way to create depth is to move further away objects higher on the image.
Your focal point doesn’t always have to be close the viewer. When you move a focal point back in an image you need to blur some parts closer to the viewer.
After reading this tutorial you should have a basic understanding of depth. Good luck designing.

if you understand what depth is its really not hard, even for a beginner, to create it with photoshop. To blur something use the blur tool. To make something smaller use the free transform method (ctrl+t). To move something use the move tool. Its all really just common sense. If you need any help doing anything specifically let me know.
