A basic gaming signature. By Zach Carter.

Open a new document around the size 360×120. Place your render or stock in the sig and do not modify it’s size. Move it around until it looks like it will make a good background. Duplicate this layer by pressing crtl+j. Then resize it by pressing crtl+t. Hold down on one of the corner boxes and move it towards the center while holding down shift to keep it high quality.

Click on the adjustment layer button on your Layers window and make a new gradient map. Pick one that looks similar to the colors in your render and click ok. Set this layer on soft light.

Make a new layer and add some lighting using a soft round brush. Set the layer on screen.

Create a new layer select the blur tool (R). Check sample all layers and blur parts of the background that look to be further away. This helps create depth.

Create a new layer and go to filter>distort>displace and find a sig you have created in the past. Use the default settings, but check “tile”. Delete parts of the layer that look bad or are over the renders face.

Make another gradient map. I recomend using colors similar to those already in your sig. Try it on different layer settings. Soft light seems to work the best. For this sig I used a black and white
gradient map and deleted the eyes.

Repeat the filter>distor>displace step, but this time focus on filling in any odd spots on the sig. You can blur parts of this layer.

Create a new layer and add some lighting with the soft round brushes on white for light places and black for shadows. Keep this layer on normal, but lower the opacity.
Then make another new layer and brush a little with a soft round brush. Set this layer on dissolve and lower its opacity to 1.

Add your choice of text and maybe a border. Keep it simple.
