Start by making a new document (400 x 20 pixels). Then select 2 colors from the picture your putting on, then make a vertical gradient with the darker color on top. As you can see I have selected the dark blue and light blue from the Firefox Logo.

Now add the logo / render you want to be on this userbar. I am going to use the Firefox Logo for this userbar, however you can use renders and logos for movies, shoes, etc.

After that you add scan lines. You can download many scan lines HERE

Now what you want to do is take out your “Elliptical Marquee Tool” and make a selection similar to the one below. After you have done that color in the selection white or any other color you want and set it to the “Soft Light” layer style.

For the final touch take out a Pixel Font and type whatever you want. Then add a 1 px stroke and your DONE
